The marvels of a self-help homeopathy kit

When we go on holiday the last thing we want is to be laid low by pain or injury. If you’re a homeopathy fan the good news is you can learn how to use remedies to support your day to day health whether you’re at home or abroad. Even a very small number of remedies can really make a difference to your enjoyment of your holiday, and I’m going to tell you a bit about my experience of using travel homeopathy in the hope it might inspire you to have a go yourself this summer. When I went away recently, I decided I was going to take responsibility for my health by taking a number of remedies with me and, as I was going with a group, I wanted to make the remedies available to any of my fellow travellers who were interested. We’d been warned not to trust the water, and we’d been asked to pack walking boots and insect repellant, so I knew I wanted to take remedies for tummy bugs, insect bites and muscle/joint injuries. The Helios Travellers kit was perfect for these things! Then, because I had one available, I decided to take the Basic 36 remedy kit as well. Some of the same remedies were in both kits so I swapped some phials out and replaced with travel sickness remedies (not routinely in either kit, surprisingly) and I was all set with 2 compact boxes of remedies, 1 mini homeopaths’ aide memoire and 2 small holiday homeopathy books for reference. So, let me tell you what happened on the trip. I made the kits and books available to anyone who was interested, and offered my support should they want help selecting remedies. And we’d not been there 24 hours before the remedies were first needed! Over the course of the trip here’s what the remedies were used for: Sprained ankle Headaches Insect bites Bad reaction to insect bites Sore throat Cough Coach sickness Acute grief Period problems Luckily there were NO tummy bugs, much to everyone’s relief! Fortunately, the major UK homeopathic pharmacies have each put together key travel remedies in handy protective travel boxes making one of these ideal to take away with you. The kits I use are from Helios Homeopathy, but Ainsworths also produce their own. Now, I had 72 remedies with me, but even a very small number of remedies can make a real difference to your trip. If you’re going away soon and you’re feeling inspired to learn about 4 key holiday remedies (for jet lag*, travel sickness*, insect bites* and tummy bugs*) here’s a Video  you can watch to get you started. And if you’d like the handy little remedy kit which goes with it you can buy that from my website HERE – don’t leave it till the last minute though, there’s a week’s lead-time on those. * There are many possible remedies for these conditions; the 4 remedies I consider to be key remedies are likely to provide good relief in the majority of cases, based on my professional experience, but efficacy can’t be guaranteed.
